Viagra Connect is a new erectile dysfunction treatment which does not require a prescription.
Last year Cialis and Levitra joined forces to develop a similar treatment called “” called Cialis Connect.
Originally developed by UK pharmaceutical giant ICOS, Cialis Connect has been tested and approved by the FDA in the UK since 2003. Currently, it is available in 50mg and 100mg tablets under different brand names.
Viagra Connect is available both online and in brick-and-mortar pharmacies in the UK.
Cialis Connect contains the active ingredient tadalafil, which works by allowing a man to get and maintain an erection when sexually stimulated.
Levitra contains tadalafil, which works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis, allowing more blood to flow into the penis when sexually stimulated.
Both Cialis and Levitra are available in different strengths, such as 25mg and 50mg.

Both drugs are effective in up to 50% of men with erectile dysfunction.
“Erectile dysfunction can be a debilitating condition that affects many men worldwide,” says Professor David McIntyre, MRCPh, from the Sexual Medicine Unit at Emanuaging Health in London.
“The treatment has revolutionised the way men can seek treatment and improve their quality of life.”
Viagra Connect contains the active ingredient sildenafil, which works by increasing blood flow to the penis, allowing men to achieve and maintain an erection when sexually stimulated.
Both drugs are suitable for men over 18 years old and with an intact penis.
“While the treatment is effective, it may take up to 2-3 years to fully kick in,” says Professor McIntyre.

ViagraConnect manufacturer, Pfizer, estimates more than a fifth of men aged over 18 in Britain suffer from erectile dysfunction, but almost half of those over 40 have not sought medical help.
The erectile dysfunction drug will be available in 14,000 stores across Britain and via pharmacy websites.
The tablets will be available exclusively from Boots until 10 April.

A Boots spokesperson said that the man affected by erectile dysfunction should buy the drug themselves wherever practically possible.
Men with severe heart problems, those at high risk of heart problems, liver failure, kidney failure, strokes or those taking certain other medicines, will still need to be prescribed the drug under the supervision of a doctor.
A four-pack of the tablets will cost £19.99 and an eight-pack £34.99.
Men who buy it will be advised that they can take a 50 mg tablet an hour before having sex, but should not use more than one pill a day.
